Elmo and father star in a free DVD helping kids and parents cope when Family members are deployed

The new Sesame Street DVD, Talk, Listen, Connect: Helping Families Cope with Military Deployment is available at no cost to military members and their Families through Military OneSource.

Elmo and his red, fuzzy father star in this DVD, in an effort to teach young military children and their caregivers how best to handle a parent's deployment. Performed in English and Spanish, it will not air on television. The DVD covers all phases of deployment -- from pre-deployment to homecoming -- and the unique challenges each phase poses.

The United States Postal Service is providing military Family members and friends with packaging materials to send packages to service members.

Call 1 (800) 610-8734, and select option #1, then #1 again, then #2 again and ask for the "Military pack."

Eight boxes, tape, packaging materials, and labels will be mailed to those who call. They will also provide an I.D. number to re-order. Please allow four to 10 days to receive the materials.
