Changing Body
Puberty is the time when your body changes from a child's body to an adult's body. Everyone grows at a different speed.
In a Girl - Puberty can start anywhere between age 9 and 14, during which:
- Her whole body grows, she grows taller
- Her breasts grow
- Hair grows on the pubic area and under arms
- The genitals (or reproductive organs) develop (grow bigger)
- Pimples may appear
- She starts to have periods
In a Boy - Puberty can start anywhere between age 11 and 15, during which:
- His whole body grows, he grows taller and the shoulders get wider
- Hair grows under the arms, on the chest, face and around the pubic area
- The voice changes, it grows deeper
- Pimples can appear
- The genitals (or reproductive organs) develop (grow bigger)
