Environmental health factors posing the greatest risk (in descending order) to forces deployed to Azerbaijan include:
- water supplies contaminated with raw sewage, industrial waste, and agricultural chemicals,
- localized industrial air pollution,
- poor food sanitation.
Pre-deployment immunizations for all personnel include Hepatitis A, MMR, td Influenza and Typhoid. Selected personnel may require other vaccines as dictated by appropriate medical authority. Variable Malaria risk.
