Military OneSource Gives
Around the Clock Human Touch

Military OneSource. Real help. Anytime. Anywhere. Now you get questions answered about the Army 24 hours a day -- from a human, not a computer-generated voice. It's reality, and it's called Military OneSource (MOS). It's a 24/7 toll free telephone number for information and referral service for Soldiers, deployed civilians and their Families, said Carla Cary, Family Advocacy Program specialist at the U.S. Army Community and Family Support Center. The service was activated Aug. 15, 2003. It is fully operational for Army installations and U.S. Army Reserve components worldwide.

  • From the United States callers can dial (800) 342-9647.
  • From outside the United States, Click here to find the correct phone number.
  • Hearing-impaired callers should use (800) 346-9188, and
  • Spanish speakers can dial (877) 888-0727.

The MOS is a component of the Chief of Staff of the Army (CSA) directed Deployment Cycle Support (DCS) CONPLAN to mitigate post-deployment difficulties which covers the entire spectrum of the deployment cycle (pre-deployment, deployment, re-deployment, post deployment-near term, and post deployment-long term). The DCS creates a comprehensive safety net that integrates and leverages existing Soldier/Family support programs and adds new program elements.

The MOS supplements existing Family programs by providing 24-hour, seven days a week toll free information and referral telephone line and internet/web based service available to active and mobilized reserve component (RC) Soldiers, deployed civilians and their Families worldwide. MOS provides information ranging from every day concerns to deployments/reintegration issues. Additionally, if there is a need for face-to-face counseling, MOS will provide referrals to professional civilian counselors for assistance in CONUS, Alaska, Hawaii and U.S. Territories. Face-to-face counseling is provided via existing Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) services in OCONUS.
