Heart disease is still America's number one killer. It is primarily a lifestyle disease, and it accepts contributions from many of our un-healthiest habits such as smoking (or breathing someone else's smoke), high-fat/high-sugar diets, couch potato-it is, and overweight. In honor of National Heart Month, take advantage of the many great on-line resources for attaining and maintaining heart health - the best Valentine you can give yourself and your loved ones. The American Heart Association - Check out the Healthy Lifestyle section for information, tips and tools. The National Hearrt, Lung, and Blood Institute - A wealth of information on blood pressure and healthy eating. Health Finder - Do a search for "heart disease" and find a wealth of information on more specific aspects of heart disease. Also see these ohter H4H resources: Women and Heart Disease Fact Sheet
